Hi, I’m Dr. Kara Kellison—Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified Gottman Therapist, Certified Discernment Counselor and relationship specialist.

I’m so glad you’re here. Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and my hope is that this gives you a clear sense of what it’s like to work with me—and whether I might be the right fit for your relationship.

My approach is research-driven and highly practical. I use a blend of acceptance-based strategies, mindfulness, Emotion Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method. If that sounds technical—what it really means is this: I tailor the process to your relationship, with a clear roadmap and tools you can actually use in daily life.

My ultimate goal? To work myself out of a job. That means I want you to get what you came for—lasting change, not long-term dependence on therapy.

We’ll begin with a structured, three-session assessment phase, which allows me to get a full picture of your relationship—what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to shift.
