About

Lynn Young is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Master of Arts in Psychology from Brandman University in 2015. Lynn worked in the Court system beginning in 2008 and became a mediator in 2016 working with an extremely diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and high conflict clientele until October 2022. Lynn began working in private practice while working with the Court system. Lynn has volunteered at local women’s shelters counseling women and children residing in the shelters. Lynn has had the opportunity to work with clients exposed to traumas of domestic abuse, child abuse, divorce/separation, homelessness, substance abuse, anger management issues, and many DSM diagnosis. Lynn specializes in couples counseling. Lynn is certified Gottman Method Couples Counseling Levels 1, 2, 3; Gottman Treating Affairs and Trauma; Couples and Addiction Recovery, Solution Focused, EMDR, Flash Technique, DBT & Mindfulness certification, Complex Trauma Certification Training Level 1 & 2, CBT Master Core Skills and Competencies. Additionally, Lynn is on the certification track to become a Gottman Certified Couples counselor and she continues to actively pursue training to support her clients’ best interests and needs. Lynn is passionate about inviting clients to recognize their strengths, resiliency and exceptions to presenting issues. Lynn walks compassionately with her clients to restore hope in their preferred future.
