I’m Stephanie Cook, a Certified Gottman Therapist and the Founder and Executive Director of Couples Counseling ATL—Georgia’s premier therapy practice dedicated exclusively to couples. Our team of 7 full-time Gottman-trained couples therapists provides expert, research-based counseling 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends, both in-person across Atlanta and online throughout Georgia.

We specialize in helping couples heal deep rifts, rebuild trust, and learn how to truly connect again. For couples who need fast results or are traveling in, we offer 1–4 day intensives ("marathon-style therapy") that can shift months’ worth of stuck patterns in just a few focused sessions.

I also created an online course, “Emotional Regulation Skills to Save Your Marriage,” for high-conflict individuals and couples who want to stop the emotional rollercoaster and learn to pause, calm down, and communicate more effectively. This course is a perfect supplement to therapy or a powerful first step for those not quite ready to begin.

I completed my B.A. at Vanderbilt, my MSW at the University of Georgia, and a clinical fellowship at Emory University. I bring nearly 20 years of marriage experience myself and am known for my warm, direct, and often humorous style. My greatest passion is helping people build relationships that feel emotionally safe, deeply connected, and lasting.
